I cannot be more excited about seeing what is around the corner at this year’s HIMSS conference. With so many things changing rapidly in healthcare, HIMSS becomes the all-in-one event that helps me understand the trends, view new technologies and learn from industry leaders. It also allows me the opportunity to visit with different contacts, network and catch up with old industry friends. I have found I do best at HIMSS if I do a little homework first. Prearranging meetings and understanding who is exhibiting is always a great start. Reviewing the schedule to see who is presenting also allows me to learn more about the industry and who are emerging as leaders. The attendance at the presentations also clues me into what is most important to providers and other industry players. If I had only one event to attend in the Healthcare Technology arena this would be it and is it . I look forward to seeing all my colleagues again next month at this year’s HIMSS.
